Do you believe that with the recent convictions of Mr. Sukh Ram, Ms. Maya Kodnani and most recently the Chauthala father and son, the Indian politicians are slowly becoming no longer above the law.

Do you believe that the PM Mr. Modi’s statement in London that his government is committed to protecting every Indian citizen’s life and views is to be appreciated.

Unlike the past, of late many Indian politicians have been convicted and handed out prison sentences and that too often for long periods. Many see this change as an indication the politicians are no longer above the .law in India. What do you think

    All the names were political heavyweights in their own right at some point, and that makes these convictions even more outstanding.

    Yes, the law of nature prevails, politicians know that scenario is shifting to common public and judiciary from political misdeeds.& cover-ups.

    For every one getting sentenced there are hundreds of other politicians continuing their nefarious activities with impunity

    The convictions become meaningful only if the politicians actually spend the sentence period in jail (reasonable remissions accepted)

    Their convictions have come too late in their lives; the damage they have caused is difficult to cover; justice delayed is justice denied

    Once the guilty will be punished as harsh as the crime. The law will overtake their leadership and their future will be in the dark.

    Our system take too much time to announce the guilty that they are guilty, by that time either they are no longer or not in age to serve punishment.

    Indeed true, but the convictions need to happen faster. Cases should be cleared at the earliest, else justice delayed is justice denied.

    By the time all guilty Politicians who were mere accused get convicted by the law they will be too old to spend the prison term as often we have seen.

    Its the tip of the iceberg. There are many more among the class who are bigger murderers, thieves, cheats and frauds. System can’t change so easily
