    At least the betting will be above board and does not have to be dependent on phone calls and code language!

    At least it will not be possible to accept bets for spots. Only winning and losing the match can be legally bet upon.

    If sports of skill like horse racing can have legalized betting from so many years, then why not other games of skill like cricket too

    For every legal that is placed there will more placed illegally, so legalizing the betting will not change things much

    Betting to the tune of 3 lac crores is reported to be now happening. Better to legalize it the let the government earn some good amount of taxes

    Betting & match fixing r related to each other. If betting is legalised,match fixing too got legalised & players will focus on amt of match fixing.
