While the Justice Verma Commission report which was delivered in record time, has been widely applauded for its quality, there have been criticism from some quarters that it contains no recommendations for judicial reforms which many see a s one of the key ingredients in reducing crimes against women. What do you think

    Judicial refrm would take time to come in black-white as amend Act 2012 however life imprisonment but the entire life of convict in Jail&AFAct r good.

    Since the Commission made recommendations on many other issues connected with rape, it should have covered judicial reforms too.

    Depends on whether one sees the Justice Verma Commission as the competent authority to recommend judicial reforms.

    Without changes in how courts handle rape and other similar crimes, all other changes would not get us very far.

    Reforms were to be suggested hence reliance should not have been on existing laws; he should have suggested new measures & strategies-he had free hand

    Its all about implementation rather than preparing reports. Reports are like a blank paper till it get implemented.

    India has yet to see a plethora of judicial reforms and is far away from implementing recommendations by Justice Verma Commission.
