Recently the Kerala High Court relaxed the bail conditions for the two Italian Marines who are alleged to have shot dead two fishermen on the Kerala Coast. While many are saying that they will not return like Mr. Andersen in the Bhopal tragedy, Mr. Quattrochi in the Bofors case and the accused in the French Spy case. Others say that they will return due to the Italian Government’s Guarantee to that effect. What do you say.

The Courts in Italy where they are undergoing trial for the same matter can easily pass an order disallowing to leave Italy till the Italian case is disposed off.

It is very unlikely that they would want to turn up for the hearings. They know the trial is for murder and they will be punished.

Fishermen murder by Italian Marines, bail plea rejection& extension of remand period followed by relaxation merely due to XMAS seems to be fishy.Wrong.

There is no reason to believe that they would not return given the fact that the Italian government has been a part of that relaxation of bail.
