The faster the better it would be if such a plan is implemented.
This is yet another BJP experiment which in the long run is going to end up the NHAI way.
There will be uniform development and optimum utilization of such water bodies if it is centrally controlled.
It depends on what plans the Central government has for such new National Waterways.
How can a creek be a national waterway.
One can expect step motherly treatment in this matter for those states where the party in power is different from that at the Centre.
It depends how the rights of usage and revenues will be shared between the states and the centre.
In any case, the government at the Centre is better equipped to care for such water bodies once they are given the power to do so.
Provided these rivers and creeks are running through at least more than one state.
A certain amount of autonomy should be available to the states too, in such matters.
