Definitely not. And this is a small but clear re-affirmation of his autocratic style of functioning.
It depends, as long as nothing untoward happens people will say it was good move.
If one goes to Europe and see how their PMs & Presidents move around one will understand what Modi has done.
If Mr. Modi is a true professional, he would allow other professionals (his security staff) do their job of protecting him.
In any case the safety of one’s life is in God’s hands and not in bullet proof shields.
And he should not be taking such risks again.
A glass shield at the Red fort is hardly necessary, but security precautions in other locations are best adhered to.
